The exhibition is the outcome of the international contest promoted in 2023: a participatory design experience aimed at young people and students and focused on the memory of the Shoah. The contest led them to work on lists of property and houses seized from Italian Jews during the anti-Jewish persecution – starting with papers from the EGELI Fund of the Historical Archives of the Compagnia di San Paolo – and to reflect on the rights of the past and present. The installation, presented as a cardboard dwelling full of ideas, invites the public to interact and delve into the topics discussed through videos and online content. It will be on view in the spaces of Palazzo Carignano from Sept. 24 to Oct. 6 (during the opening hours of the Museo del Risorgimento) then will move to Madrid, at the Centro de Estudios Ibn Gabirol Colegio Estrella Toledano, and to Ferrara, hosted by Palazzo Turchi di Bagno, thanks to the collaboration between MEIS and the University of Ferrara.
