REMEMBR-HOUSE offers Civic Education courses focused on historical research, critical assessment of sources and the development of digital skills. The project offers students, teachers and trainers a new perspective on the study of the Shoah and on the civil rights issue through personal re-appreciation, active and participated assessment of archive documents.
Consistently with EU legislation prohibiting all forms of discrimination and anti-Semitism, REMEMBR-HOUSE intends to:
- Consider the identity and universal significance of personal and domestic spaces to foster civic awareness through empathy
- Preserve the memory of the Shoah and avoid distortions
- Encourage reflection on the past to educate European citizens, making them aware of their history, culture and shared values
- Promote intercultural dialogue and connect local heritage to European memory
- Develop historical awareness of the Shoah by offering training activities based on practical and innovative tools
- Create inclusive and multicultural perspectives on the Shoah, emphasising its consequences on various social groups
- Encourage individuals to elaborate and reflect on the topic of civil rights and European community values
- Support the methodology of historical research and the reflection on sources, thus promoting the archive’s value as a cultural heritage, and
- Improve information literacy, especially focussing on the digital world
